The author, based on the study of the aortas of human embryos in the 2nd stage of fetal development, as well as of the people deceased until 80 years old with or without the clinical diagnosis of atherosclerosis, applied the matching methods for study of morphological samples – classical, general, histological and histochemical. He also applied his own 10 combined research methods:histological and histochemical, described in this monograph. Due to this, the author received new data allowing him to suggest a new classification of atherosclerosis, depending on etiopathogenetic factor, treatment and prophylaxis of this disease.
Arnaut C. was born on February 05, 1937 in the village Chiosolia Mare from Cahul district in a large simple family with 9 children. He completed the first four years of primary studies in his native village; 7 grades in Congaz, Congaz district; 10 following study years in Baimaclia, Cahul district. In 1962, he graduated from the faculty of Medicine of the State Institute of Medicine from Chisinau. During the period 01.08.1962 – 25.05.1963, he hold the position of main districtanatomic pathologist in Cotovsc district. During the period 27.05.1963 – 12.01.1981, he hold the position of Deputy Chief of the Morphological Department within the„Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, being also a scientific collaborator. During the period 01.12.1981- 03.02.1988, he hold the position of professor at the Chair of the State University; 1988-2001 – docent of the Chair of Histology of the Institute of Medicine, retirement; 2004-2007 – Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldoav, responsible for guardianship; 2007-2009 – the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery, docent and deputy chief of the forensic medical laboratory.
